Linux is an open-source operating system that has been around for quite some time now. It is based on the Unix operating system, and many users prefer it for its stability, security, and flexibility. On the other hand, Android is a popular mobile operating system based on Linux.

If you are one of those people who like to tinker with their devices, you might be interested in running Linux on your Android device. Running Linux on an Android device can give you access to many powerful tools and applications that are not available on Android. In this article, we will discuss how to run Linux on Android devices.

Before we dive into the step-by-step process, let’s take a moment to understand the requirements. Your device needs to be rooted and have enough storage to contain the Linux installation files. You will also need a terminal emulator app, a VNC client, and the Linux Deploy app from the Google Play Store.

Step 1: Download and Install Linux Deploy

The first step is to download and install the Linux Deploy app from the Google Play Store. This app allows you to install and configure various Linux distributions on your Android device. It is available for free, but you can also purchase the premium version for additional features. Once the app is installed, open it, and click on the “Download” button to download the required files.

Step 2: Configure Linux

After the download is complete, you will be prompted to configure your Linux installation. Linux Deploy provides several options for configuring your Linux distribution, such as the Linux kernel version, the file system type, and the CPU architecture.

Step 3: Install the Linux Distribution

Once you have configured Linux Deploy, you can proceed with the installation. You can choose from several Linux distributions, including Debian, Ubuntu, and Kali Linux. Select the distribution you want to install and click on the “Install” button.

Step 4: Start the Linux Installation

Once the installation process is complete, you can start the Linux image using the VNC client app. Linux Deploy will provide you with the IP address and the VNC port number that you need to access the Linux installation.

Step 5: Connect to Linux

Launch the VNC client app and enter the IP address and the VNC port number provided by Linux Deploy. Connect to the Linux installation and enter the username and password that you created during the installation process.

Step 6: Enjoy Linux on Your Android Device

Congratulations! You have successfully installed Linux on your Android device. You can now enjoy all the benefits of Linux, such as a more stable and secure environment, and access to powerful tools and applications.
