How to Reset Your Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, or Xbox 360

Resetting your Xbox console is one of the best troubleshooting methods to resolve various issues that may arise while using your console. It is essential to note that resetting your console will delete all your saved data, games, and apps. However, the reset will not delete any games, apps, or media that you have bought and downloaded from the Microsoft Store. In this article, we will guide you on how to reset your Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, or Xbox 360.

How to Reset Xbox Series X|S

Step 1: Press and hold the power button on your console until it turns off.

Step 2: Unplug the power cord from the back of your console and wait for ten seconds.

Step 3: Plug the power cord back into your console.

Step 4: Press the power button on your console to turn it on.

How to Reset Xbox One

Step 1: Press and hold the Xbox button on your controller.

Step 2: Select Restart Console and then confirm.

Step 3: If you cannot access the menu, hold down the power button on your console until it turns off.

Step 4: Unplug the power cord from the back of your console and wait for ten seconds.

Step 5: Plug the power cord back into your console.

Step 6: Press the power button on your console to turn it on.

How to Reset Xbox 360

Step 1: Press the Guide button on your controller.

Step 2: Go to Settings and then select System Settings.

Step 3: Select Storage, then select Memory Unit, and then press the Y button.

Step 4: Select Format and then confirm.

Step 5: If prompted, enter your console’s password.

Step 6: Select Yes to confirm that you want to format the storage device.
