Have you ever been in a situation where you’ve sent an email with some errors or forgotten to attach a file? It’s quite common. Outlook offers a feature called the “Resend Email” option that allows you to resend an email without composing a new one. In this article, we will guide you on how to resend an email in Outlook.

Step 1: Open the sent item folder

First, you need to locate the email that you want to resend. To do this, open your Outlook account and go to the “Sent Items” folder located in the left-hand panel. It will display all of the emails you’ve sent.

Step 2: Select the email

Click on the email you want to resend to open it. Double-check the email details to ensure that all the necessary information is correct.

Step 3: Use the Resend button

In the Ribbon, you will see a “Actions” tab. Click on it, and you’ll see the “Resend This Message” option. Click on the “Resend This Message” option to open a new email window. This email window is a duplicate of the original email.

Step 4: Make necessary amendments

Edit the email by making the necessary changes, such as fixing the errors or adding the forgotten attachment. Once done, click on the “Send” button to resend your email.

Step 5: Verify the email has been resent

After sending your email, check your “Sent Items” folder to verify if the email has been resent. If you don’t see the email, try refreshing the folder or check your inbox.

Tips to keep in mind:

1. Before resending an email, ensure that you have the correct recipient’s details.

2. Always check the details of the email before sending it the first time. This will prevent the need to resend an email.

3. Be mindful of your recipients. Resending an email can be irritating if done frequently.

In conclusion, resending an email in Outlook is a straightforward process that can save you time and prevent confusion. The most important thing is to ensure that you make necessary changes before resending the email to prevent any misunderstandings. With this guide, you should be able to resend emails easily in Microsoft Outlook.
