How to Program a WOW Remote: 12 Steps
Step 1: Gather your materials
To begin programming your WOW remote, make sure you have all necessary components at hand. This includes your WOW remote, the device(s) you want to control (e.g., TV, DVD player, etc.), and their respective manuals.
Step 2: Determine your device’s code(s)
Consult the user manual of your device(s) to find the specific code(s) needed for programming. These codes can also be found online if you don’t have the manual.
Step 3: Turn on your device
Ensure that the device(s) you want to control is turned on. This allows the WOW remote to recognize and connect with it during programming.
Step 4: Prepare your WOW remote for programming
Press and hold both the “Setup” and “OK” buttons on your WOW remote until the LED light turns solid green. This indicates that your remote is now in programming mode.
Step 5: Enter your device’s code
Using the number pad on your WOW remote, enter the appropriate code for your device. The LED light should blink twice, confirming that you’ve entered a valid code.
Step 6: Check functionality
Press any key (e.g., “Vol Up”, “Channel Down”) on your WOW remote to ensure that it now controls the intended device. If everything works as expected, proceed to Step 7. If not, repeat Steps 4-5 with another relevant code from your device’s manual.
Step 7: Save the code
Press and hold down the “Setup” button once more until the LED light blinks twice. This saves the programmed code in your WOW remote’s memory.
Step 8 (Optional): Program additional devices
To control multiple devices with a single WOW remote, repeat Steps 4-7 for each new device you’d like to add.
Step 9: Set volume lock
If you want your WOW remote to control the volume exclusively on a specific device (e.g., your TV), press and hold the “Setup” button until the LED light blinks twice. Next, press the “Vol Up” button until the LED blinks four times.
Step 10: Assigning A or B mode
Each WOW remote features two customizable modes (A and B). To assign a specific mode to your device, press and release either “Mode A” or “Mode B”. The LED light should blink twice, confirming that you’ve set the desired mode.
Step 11: Test functionality in assigned mode
Press any key on your WOW remote in the assigned mode to ensure that it properly controls your device(s). If everything functions as expected, proceed to Step 12. If not, review previous steps and retry as necessary.
Step 12: Enjoy!
Once you’ve successfully programmed your WOW remote and tested its functionality, enjoy seamless control over your devices with ease!
