How to Move Apps From the App Library to the Home Screen on Your iPhone
If you’re an iPhone user, you’ll know how vital and versatile the App Library can be. Instead of drowning in a sea of applications, you can now have them organized according to categories across different screens. This is a huge step forward, especially considering how popular mobile apps have become. However, sometimes you might want quick access to an app without having to search for it. In this article, we’ll guide you through the process of moving apps from the App Library to the Home Screen of your iPhone.
Step 1: Locate the App
First, you need to find the app you want to move from the App Library. The App Library will organize your applications alphabetically, and you can also search for them by using the search bar at the top of the screen. From here, simply tap and hold the application icon until it starts to wiggle.
Step 2: Enter Jiggle Mode
After tapping and holding the icon, you will see it enters a “jiggling” mode alongside other applications on the screen. In this mode, you can move the app around the screen by dragging it with your finger. This is the mode you need to be in to be able to move an app to the Home Screen.
Step 3: Pull the App Out of the App Library
Next, drag the app out of the App Library and onto the Home Screen you want it to be on. You can drag it to any of the Home Screen pages you have, but remember that you’ll need to create an empty space if the page is full.
Step 4: Put the App in the Desired Location
Once you’ve dragged your app to the location you want it in, you need to let it go. The app icon would snap into place on the screen, and you’re free to move it by dragging it around in jiggling mode. You ‘ll now have quick access to the application from the Home Screen.
Step 5: Exit Jiggle Mode
After you’ve successfully moved the application from the App Library to the Home Screen and placed it as desired, hit the “done” key to exit jiggle mode. The app icon would no longer be moving on your screen, and you would be able to use your phone as usual, with one key difference- the application in question would now be available directly from your Home Screen.
