Boomerang videos have become a popular trend in social media platforms, especially on Instagram. It is a short, looping video that plays forward and backward, giving an illusion of repetition. The good news is; you don’t need a fancy camera to create a boomerang video. In fact, you can create one with your phone in just a few simple steps. Here’s how you can do it:

Step 1: Download the Boomerang app

There are many apps designed to make boomerang videos, including those integrated into the social media platforms themselves, such as Instagram and TikTok. However, Boomerang is a standalone app created by Instagram, and it is available on both the App Store and Google Play Store. Once you downloaded the app, install it, and open it.

Step 2: Position your camera

The next step is to position your camera. Boomerangs are best taken with a stationary or slow-moving camera. So, it’s essential to decide on the perfect moment to capture. Then, position your camera accordingly. Keep your phone as still as possible to avoid shaky footage.

Step 3: Record your video

After positioning your camera, it’s now time to record your video. Press the button on the bottom of the screen to begin recording, and hold it down for a few seconds to capture enough footage for a good boomerang. When you’re happy with the video, release the button to stop recording.

Step 4: Edit the video

Once you’ve recorded your video, it’s time to edit it for the perfect boomerang. The Boomerang app will automatically generate your video into a loop. Then, you can use its editing tools to adjust the speed, trim the length, or add filters or effects to your video.

Step 5: Save and share your boomerang

Once you’ve edited your boomerang to perfection, it’s time to save and share it. Boomerang app allows you to save your boomerang video to your phone, so you can post it on social media platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, or Facebook.

Final thoughts

Boomerang videos are a fun and creative way to showcase your personality and add some excitement to your social media platforms. With the right tools, making boomerang videos has never been easier. Whether you’re using an iPhone or an Android phone, follow these simple steps to create and share your boomerang videos like a pro.
