Step 1: Visit VK.com

Start by navigating to the official VKontakte website, VK.com. This is where you can create a new profile.

Step 2: Click “Sign Up”

You will see the “Sign Up” button on the top right corner of the homepage. Click on this button to initiate the account creation process.

Step 3: Fill Out Your Personal Details

In order to create a VK account, you will need to provide some basic information. Fill out your first name, last name, date of birth, and gender in the corresponding fields. Ensure that you input accurate and up-to-date information, as this may impact your experience with VK.

Step 4: Provide Contact Information

Next, you will be required to give your phone number or email address for verification purposes. This is a security measure implemented by VK in order to protect against fraudulent accounts and confirm that you are indeed a human user.

Step 5: Verify Your Account

Once you have provided the necessary personal and contact information, VK will send you a confirmation code via SMS or email. Enter this code into the designated box and complete the registration process by clicking “Confirm”.

Step 6: Customize Your Profile

After successfully verifying your account, take some time to personalize your profile page by adding a photo and writing a short description about yourself. Here, you can also connect with friends, join communities relevant to your interests, and begin exploring all that VK has to offer.

By following these six simple steps, you’ll be well on your way to enjoying the world of Vkontakte—a popular social media platform connecting millions of users from Russia and beyond.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
