A refreshing and delightful non-alcoholic beverage, the virgin mojito is a must-try mocktail that combines the vibrant flavors of lime, mint, and sugar. Perfect for summer gatherings or as a cool treat on a hot day, making a virgin mojito is easy and fun to do. Follow these 10 simple steps to create the perfect virgin mojito.

1. Gather your ingredients and tools:

– Fresh mint leaves (approximately 10-15 leaves)

– 1 lime

– Simple syrup or granulated sugar (2 tablespoons)

– Club soda or sparkling water (8 ounces)

– Crushed ice

– Muddler

– Cocktail shaker or mixing glass

– Highball glass

2. Wash the mint leaves and gently pat them dry with a paper towel.

3. In the cocktail shaker or mixing glass, add mint leaves and simple syrup (or granulated sugar).

4. Using a muddler, gently press the mint leaves against the bottom of the shaker or glass to release their oils and flavors. Be careful not to tear the leaves; they should stay intact for better presentation.

5. Cut the lime in half, then squeeze both halves into the shaker or glass, making sure to catch any stray seeds.

6. Stir the mixture of lime juice, sugar/syrup, and mint leaves until well combined.

7. Fill a highball glass with crushed ice—about halfway full.

8. Pour the lime juice mixture into the highball glass over the ice.

9. Top off the glass with club soda or sparkling water, leaving about an inch of space from the rim of the glass.

10. Gently stir once more to combine all ingredients, then garnish with extra mint leaves or a slice of lime if desired.

Now you have a delicious virgin mojito, perfect to enjoy on a warm day or share with friends and family. Adjust the recipe according to your taste preferences—add more mint, lime, or sugar as desired. Cheers!
