Step 1: Gather Your Materials

Before you begin, make sure you have the following items handy: a foam ball (roughly the size of a tennis ball), several Nerf darts, a rubber band, a pair of scissors, and duct tape.

Step 2: Prepare the Foam Ball

Using your scissors, make small cuts into the foam ball. These cuts should be deep enough to hold the Nerf darts and spaced out evenly around the entire foam ball.

Step 3: Insert the Nerf Darts

Take each Nerf dart and insert it into one of the cuts on the foam ball. Make sure they are securely in place and evenly distributed around the ball.

Step 4: Secure the Darts with Duct Tape

Wrap duct tape around the foam ball, ensuring that each dart is firmly secured. This will prevent them from falling out during use. Be sure not to cover up the tips of the darts with tape.

Step 5: Create a Handle

Cut a small piece of duct tape and attach it to one side of the foam ball as a handle. This will make it easier to throw your Nerf grenade.

Step 6: Attach Rubber Band

On the opposite side of the handle, loop a rubber band around one of the exposed darts. This rubber band will act as a timer for your grenade, controlling when it “explodes.”

Step 7: Wind Up Your Grenade

Stretch the rubber band across all of your exposed darts, making sure it lays flat against each one. Continue winding until there is enough tension for it to be released effectively.

Step 8: Test Your Nerf Grenade

Hold on to your grenade by its handle and gently throw it towards your intended target. The rubber band should release upon impact, allowing your Nerf darts to be scattered in every direction.

And that’s it! With these 8 simple steps, you have successfully created your very own Nerf grenade. Enjoy your new addition to your Nerf arsenal and have fun in your next battle!

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech.
