Apple Watch is a popular wearable device that comes with a lot of features to make your life easy. It is not only a timepiece but also a fitness tracker, a messaging tool, and a personal assistant. One of the unique features of Apple Watch is the red dot on its face. This red dot indicates that you have unread notifications or apps that require your attention. While it may be useful, some people find it distracting or want to hide it for their privacy.

Here is a guide on how to hide the red dot on your Apple Watch:

Step 1: Open the settings app on your Apple Watch

To access the settings app, press the digital crown button, and scroll through the apps until you find the settings icon. Tap on it to open.

Step 2: Tap on Notifications

Once you are in the settings app, scroll down until you find the notifications option. Tap on it.

Step 3: Turn off the Notification Indicator

Under the notifications menu, you will see an option called “Notification Indicator”. Tap on it to toggle it off. Once you toggle off this option, the red dot will no longer appear on the watch face.

Step 4: Check your notification settings

After turning off the notification indicator, you can customize your notifications settings to further customize the notifications you receive on your Apple Watch. You can choose to receive or disable notifications from individual apps such as messages, calls, email, and third-party apps. You can also customize the sounds, haptics, and alerts for each notification type.

In Conclusion

The red dot on the Apple Watch is undoubtedly helpful, but it can be annoying for some people. Luckily, it’s easy to turn off this feature. By following the simple steps outlined in this guide, you can hide the red dot and make your Apple Watch less distracting. Remember, you can always turn the notification indicator back on if you change your mind.
