As a user of Facebook, you may occasionally want to hide certain friends from your timeline, or perhaps later unhide them as your preferences change. Whatever your reasons, the process is simple and can provide a helpful way to manage who appears on your social media feed. In this article, we will discuss how to hide and unhide friends in

Facebook step-by-step

Hiding Friends in Facebook

1. Log in to your Facebook account:

Visit www.facebook.com and enter your email address and password. Click on ‘Log In.’

2. Navigate to the friend’s profile:

Find the friend you would like to hide by searching for their name in the search bar at the top of the page. Click on their name to go to their profile.

3. Access the ‘Friends’ menu:

On your friend’s profile page, look for the ‘Friends’ button located near the bottom of their cover photo. Click on it to open a dropdown menu.

4. Hide your friend:

In the dropdown menu, find the option labeled ‘Unfollow [Friend’s Name].’ By selecting this option, you will no longer see their posts on your timeline or receive notifications about their activity.
Unhiding Friends in Facebook

1. Go to your News Feed preferences:

While logged into your account, click on the downward arrow located at the top-right corner of any Facebook page. From the dropdown menu, select ‘News Feed Preferences.’

2. Locate ‘Reconnect with people you unfollowed’:

In the News Feed Preferences window, click on ‘Reconnect with people you’ve unfollowed.’

3. Select friends to unhide:

Scroll through the list of friends that you have hidden in the past and click on any friend(s) whom you would like to unhide.

4. Confirm your selection(s):

Once you have made your decision(s), click on the ‘Done’ button at the bottom of the screen.

In summary, hiding and unhiding friends on Facebook is a fairly straightforward and user-friendly process. By following these steps, you’ll have greater control over your timeline content and notifications.
