How to Grow Out Your Bangs: 13 Steps

Growing out your bangs can be an awkward and frustrating process. But with patience, determination, and some clever styling tricks, you can make the transition much smoother. Here are 13 steps you can follow to grow out your bangs seamlessly.

1. Be patient: Growing out your bangs takes time. On average, hair grows about half an inch per month. It might take several months or more for your bangs to reach your desired length, so be prepared for the long haul.

2. Get regular trims: Although it may seem counterintuitive, trimming the ends of your hair every 6-8 weeks can help avoid split ends and breakage, ensuring healthy growth.

3. Moisturize and nourish: Keep your hair well-conditioned by using a deep conditioner regularly and applying a hair oil to keep it hydrated and nourished.

4. Brush regularly: Gently brush your locks daily with a boar bristle brush or a wide-toothed comb to distribute natural oils evenly throughout your hair.

5. Massage your scalp: A gentle scalp massage helps stimulate blood circulation and promotes hair growth. Spend a few minutes each day massaging your scalp using circular motions with your fingertips.

6. Maintain a healthy diet: Eating well is essential for healthy hair growth. Incorporate foods rich in vitamins, minerals, and proteins to provide necessary nutrients for growing strong, resilient strands.

7. Try biotin supplements: Biotin is a B-vitamin that supports hair growth and overall health. Consult with your doctor or nutritionist before adding any supplements to your daily regimen.

8. Avoid heat styling tools: Excessive use of heat styling tools like flat irons, curling wands, and blow dryers can cause damage to your hair. Limit their use as much as possible or use them on low heat settings.

9. Use hair accessories: Styling your growing bangs with accessories like headbands, hair clips, and bobby pins can help keep them looking tidy and fashionable during the awkward phase.

10. Experiment with different hairstyles: Use this opportunity to try out various styles like braids, twists, and updos that either blend your bangs or camouflage them altogether.

11. Clip in extensions: If your bangs are driving you crazy and you want an instant remedy, consider clip-in extensions. These can be added and removed as needed for a temporary solution.

12. Style your hair with a side part: Train your growing bangs to lie flat by styling them with a deep side part. This will make the transition less noticeable as they grow.

13. Embrace the process: Growing out your bangs is a natural part of changing hairstyles. Accept the awkward phase and have fun experimenting with new looks as you wait for them to reach the desired length.

By following these 13 steps, you will gradually grow out your bangs while keeping them looking stylish and well-maintained throughout the process. Remember, patience is key, and before long, you’ll have achieved the perfect length and style for your locks.
