Facebook birthday notifications can be a lifeline for those of us who struggle to remember important dates. Both Facebook’s desktop and mobile platforms offer features that make it easy to keep track of your friends’ birthdays. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to ensure you never miss another birthday notification.

For Desktop Users:

  1. Log in to your Facebook account.
  2. On the homepage, look at the right-hand side column for the ‘Events’ section.
  3. Click on ‘Events’ and then select ‘Birthdays’ from the left-hand menu.
  4. Here, you can see upcoming birthdays as well as the option to turn on notifications by clicking ‘Notifications’ at the top right corner and selecting ‘All Notifications’.
  5. Additionally, make sure that your notification settings are turned on in the settings menu:

– Click on the upside-down triangle at the top right of Facebook.

– Select ‘Settings & Privacy’, then ‘Settings’.

– Click ‘Notifications’ on the left side.

– Scroll down to ‘Birthdays’ and click ‘Edit’.

– Ensure that you have selected “On” for getting notifications about upcoming birthdays.

For Mobile Users:

  1. Open the Facebook application on your mobile device.
  2. Tap on the three horizontal lines icon to access the menu.
  3. Scroll down and tap on ‘Events’.
  4. At the top of the Events page, tap on ‘Calendar’, and you will see a list of upcoming birthdays.
  5. To adjust your notifications, tap on the settings or gear icon typically located in the upper right corner.
  6. From here, select ‘Notification Settings’ and then find ‘Birthdays’.
  7. Ensure that Birthday notifications are switched on.

By following these steps carefully, you’ll get notified about your friends’ birthdays both on desktop and mobile devices. Setting up birthday reminders is a convenient way to ensure that you’re always able to send best wishes to friends and loved ones, strengthening your connections without having to worry about forgetting a special day.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
