Rocket League is one of the most popular sports-based video games in the world. But, sometimes, users encounter issues while trying to launch the game on their Windows 10 or Windows 11 operating system. This issue can be quite frustrating for gamers who are eagerly waiting to jump into the game and enjoy playing with their friends or online communities. In this article, we will guide you on how to fix Rocket League not launching in Windows 10 & 11.

  1. Update the Graphics Driver

An outdated graphics driver can prevent Rocket League from launching. Therefore, make sure that you have the latest version of the graphics driver installed on your computer. You can download and install the latest drivers from the official website of the graphics card manufacturer. Alternatively, you can use device manager to update the drivers.

  1. Verify Game File Integrity

If some game files are missing or corrupted, then Rocket League may not launch on your PC. Therefore, it is important to verify the game file integrity to check for any missing or damaged files.

To do this, follow the steps below:

1. Open the Steam client on your PC and navigate to the ‘Library’ section.

2. Right-click on the Rocket League game and select ‘Properties.’

3. Click on the ‘Local Files’ tab and then select ‘Verify Integrity of Game Files.’

4. Steam will verify the game files and download any missing or corrupted files.

  1. Disable Full-Screen Optimization

The full-screen optimization feature on Windows 10 can sometimes cause issues with the Rocket League game. Therefore, you can try disabling this feature to see if it resolves the issue.

To do this, follow the steps below:

1. Navigate to the installation folder of Rocket League.

2. Right-click on the Rocket League exe file and select ‘Properties.’

3. Click on the ‘Compatibility’ tab and check the option ‘Disable Full-Screen Optimization.’

4. Click on ‘Apply’ and ‘OK’ to save the changes.

  1. Modify Compatibility Settings

Sometimes, modifying the compatibility settings of Rocket League can fix the launching issue. Follow the steps below to modify compatibility settings:

1. Navigate to the installation folder of Rocket League.

2. Right-click on the Rocket League exe file and select ‘Properties.’

3. Click on the ‘Compatibility’ tab and check the option ‘Run this program in compatibility mode for.’

4. Select the version of Windows that you are currently using from the drop-down menu and click on ‘Apply’ and ‘OK.’

  1. Run the Game as Administrator

Running the Rocket League game as an administrator can also resolve the launching issue. To do this, follow the steps below:

1. Navigate to the installation folder of Rocket League.

2. Right-click on the Rocket League exe file and select ‘Run as administrator.’
