FaceTime audio is one of the most convenient ways to make calls on Apple devices, but it can be frustrating when it suddenly stops working. Whether you’re using FaceTime audio to connect with friends and family or for business purposes, it’s important to fix any issues that arise so you can get back to having seamless conversations. In this article, we’ll discuss how to fix it when FaceTime audio is not working.

  1. Check your internet connection

The first step to fixing any connectivity issue is to check your internet connection. Poor or slow internet can cause FaceTime audio to drop, freeze or have poor quality. You can check your internet connection by trying to load a webpage or streaming video. If your internet connection is slow, try resetting your router or contacting your internet service provider (ISP).

  1. Check if FaceTime audio is enabled

If FaceTime audio is not enabled, you will not be able to use this feature. To check if FaceTime audio is enabled, go to Settings > FaceTime and toggle the switch next to FaceTime audio. If it’s already enabled, try disabling and enabling it again.

  1. Check your microphone and speakers

If your microphone or speakers are not working properly, you may not be able to hear or be heard during FaceTime audio calls. To test your microphone and speakers, open the Voice Memos app and record a message. Listen back to the message to ensure that your microphone and speakers are working properly. If they are not, try restarting your device or checking for any software updates that may be needed.

  1. Check if Do Not Disturb is enabled

If Do Not Disturb is enabled, it can prevent you from receiving any incoming calls, including FaceTime audio calls. To check if Do Not Disturb is enabled, go to Settings > Do Not Disturb and make sure it’s disabled.

  1. Force quit FaceTime and restart your device

If all else fails, force quit FaceTime and restart your device. To force quit FaceTime, swipe up from the bottom of your screen and swipe up on the FaceTime app. Then, press and hold the side button (or top button, depending on your device) until the slide to power off screen appears. Slide the power off button, wait a few seconds, then press and hold the side button to restart your device.

In conclusion, FaceTime audio can be a great way to communicate, but it’s important to keep it in good working order. By following these steps, you can troubleshoot any issues that arise and get back to having seamless conversations with your loved ones or colleagues.
