Fitbit is a wearable device that tracks your daily movements and fitness goals. It can also tell time, but what happens when your Fitbit starts displaying the wrong time? This can be inconvenient and may lead you to miss appointments or start your day on the wrong foot. But don’t worry, there are ways to fix this issue.

  1. Sync Your Fitbit

The first thing you should do is sync your Fitbit with the app on your smartphone. This will ensure that your Fitbit is up to date with the correct time according to your phone’s clock. To do this, open the Fitbit app on your smartphone, click on your profile picture, then click on your device. From there, click on “Sync Now” and wait for it to complete the sync.

  1. Check Time Zone Settings

Sometimes, the time on your Fitbit may be incorrect because of the time zone settings. Make sure to check that the time zone setting on your Fitbit is the same as that on your phone. To do this, open the Fitbit app, click on your profile picture, then click on your device. From there, click on “Time Zone” and ensure that it matches your phone’s time zone.

  1. Reset Your Fitbit

If your Fitbit is still displaying the wrong time, a simple reset may do the trick. To reset your Fitbit, plug it into its charger, then hold down the button on the side for at least 15 seconds. After releasing the button, unplug your Fitbit and wait for it to restart. This should reset the time and fix any issues.

  1. Contact Fitbit Support

If none of the above methods work, then it’s time to contact Fitbit support. They will be able to provide you with technical support and guide you through any additional troubleshooting steps. They may also be able to determine whether your Fitbit needs to be repaired or replaced.

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject.
