As technology has advanced, smartphones have become an integral part of our lives. The ability to communicate, work, and entertain ourselves through a single handheld device has proven to be incredibly useful. However, there are times when we require access to our phone’s IP address, which can prove to be a daunting task for some. But, fear not, as finding your phone’s IP address is a relatively easy process.

How to Find Your Phone’s IP Address on Android

Android devices have a fairly straightforward method for finding your IP address.
Step 1: Open your Android’s settings. This can be found either on your phone’s home screen or by swiping down from the top.

Step 2: Scroll down until you see “Network & internet”. Select it.

Step 3: Select “Wi-Fi”.

Step 4: Click on the name of the network you are currently connected to.

Step 5: Look for the “IP address” line. Your IP address should be listed here.

How to Find Your Phone’s IP Address on iPhone

Finding your IP address on an iPhone can be just as easy as finding it on an Android.

Step 1: Open your iPhone’s settings.

Step 2: Select “Wi-Fi”.

Step 3: Tap on the network you are currently connected to.

Step 4: You should see “IP Address” listed next to a series of numbers. This is your phone’s IP address.

Why is it important to know your phone’s IP Address?

Knowing your phone’s IP address can be useful in several situations. For instance, when troubleshooting network issues, setting up security protocols or connecting to other devices, it is necessary to have your IP address on hand.

In addition, having your phone’s IP address can come in handy when playing certain multiplayer games or when performing remote actions on your phone or other connected devices.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
