Gmail is one of the most popular email services that is widely used across the world. However, with the use of email comes the issue of unwanted and spam emails, which can clutter your inbox and make it difficult to manage your emails. Thankfully, Gmail has inbuilt systems to deal with spam and unwanted emails. In this article, we will learn how to empty spam and trash fast in Gmail.

Gmail uses an automatic spam filter to sort out spam emails into a separate folder. It also moves the emails that you delete to the Trash folder, where they stay for 30 days before being permanently deleted. However, to manage your Gmail effectively, you should empty your spam and trash folders regularly.

Here’s how to empty your spam folder:

Step 1: Log in to your Gmail account on your computer.

Step 2: On the left-hand side of the screen, find the “Spam” folder and click on it.

Step 3: Once you’re in the spam folder, you can select all the emails you want to delete by clicking on the checkbox on the top left-hand side of the screen.

Step 4: Once you’ve selected the emails you want to delete, click on the “Delete All Spam Messages Now” button located at the top of the screen. This will permanently delete all the spam emails in your spam folder.

Here’s how to empty your trash folder:

Step 1: On the left-hand side of the screen, find the “Trash” folder and click on it.

Step 2: Once you’re in the trash folder, you can select all the emails you want to delete by clicking on the checkbox on the top left-hand side of the screen.

Step 3: Once you’ve selected the emails you want to delete, click on the “Delete Forever” button located at the top of the screen. This will permanently delete all the emails in your trash folder.

Note: Once you click on the “Delete Forever” button, you cannot retrieve the emails. Therefore, make sure that you have selected the correct emails to delete before clicking on the button.

In conclusion, emptying your spam and trash folders regularly is essential to keep your Gmail account organized and clutter-free. By following the steps outlined in this article, you can easily delete all the spam and unwanted emails in your Gmail account, making it much easier to manage your emails.
