How to Email a Google Doc on Desktop or Mobile
Emailing a Google Doc is a straightforward process whether you’re using a desktop computer or a mobile device. Here’s how you can share your documents via email with ease.
On Desktop:
- Open the Google Doc you wish to email.
- Click on ‘File’ in the top-left corner of the menu bar.
- In the dropdown menu, select ‘Email as attachment’.
- A pop-up window will prompt you to enter the recipient’s email address.
- Choose the format in which you’d like to send the document (PDF, Microsoft Word, etc.) from the dropdown list.
- Add a subject and optional message for your email.
- Click on ‘Send’ to email the document.
On Mobile:
- Open the Google Docs app on your device.
- Tap on the document you want to send to open it.
- Touch the three vertical dots in the upper-right corner to open the menu.
- Tap on ‘Share & export’.
