ORCA MSI Editor is a tool which allows you to view and edit Windows Installer packages and merge modules. The ORCA editor is part of the Windows Installer Development Tools, which are included in the Microsoft Windows Software Development Kit (SDK). To download the standalone version of ORCA MSI Editor, you will need to get the Microsoft Windows SDK first.

Here is a step-by-step guide on how to download ORCA MSI Editor:

1. Visit the official Microsoft Windows SDK archive page. (You can search for “Windows SDK archive” in your favorite search engine.)

2. Choose the version of the SDK that suits your needs. Typically, you would download the version that matches the most with your target deployment or development environment.

3. Click to download the installer for Windows SDK. Save it to an easily accessible location on your computer.

4. Once downloaded, run the installer. During installation, you may choose only to install the Windows Installer Developer Tools to minimize space usage if you don’t require all SDK components.

5. Proceed with installing the tools. By default, ORCA is not set up to install during a typical installation, so ensure you’ve selected it if given the option.

6. After installation is complete, navigate to the installation directory of the Windows SDK, commonly located at “C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Kits\<version>\bin\<architecture>\”.

7. In this directory, look for “Orca-x86_en-us.msi” or “Orca-x64_en-us.msi” depending on your system architecture.

8. Double-click on the appropriate Orca MSI file and proceed with its installation as you would with any other Windows software.

Once you’ve completed these steps, you should find Orca installed on your system and ready for use. Remember that it’s wise to always download software from official or trusted sources to avoid potential security risks associated with third-party downloads.
