iCloud is a cloud storage service provided by Apple, which enables users to store and share photos, videos, music, documents, and other data using add-on features such as iCloud Drive. iCloud not only provides safe storage for your important data but also provides a means of sharing it across all Apple devices. One of the main reasons people use iCloud is for their photo library. With iCloud, Apple users can easily store, sync, and backup their photos on their devices. However, you may want to download your photos and videos from iCloud, but downloading the original full-resolution images can be a bit complicated.

In this article, we will demonstrate how to download full-resolution photos from iCloud.

1. Log in to iCloud

The first step is to log in to iCloud.com using your Apple ID and password. Once you have logged in, you will see various icons such as Mail, Contacts, Calendar, and more. Click on the Photos icon, which resembles a camera.

2. Select the Photos

Once you have clicked on the Photos icon, you will see all the photos and albums which are stored in your iCloud account. Here, you can filter photos by date range, location, and album using the filter option.

3. Choose the Photos you Want to Download

Select the photos that you want to download, or you can press Command+A to select all your photos. Once you have selected your photos, click the download icon, which resembles a down arrow located on the top right corner.

4. Download Full-Resolution Photos

When you click on the download icon, a menu will appear providing three different options: Download, Download Originals, and Download Unmodified Originals. Choose the option that says “Download Originals,” as this will download the full-resolution photos stored in iCloud onto your computer.

5. Open the Photos

Once you have downloaded the photos, you can access them from your computer. The downloaded photos will be saved in a folder named “Downloads,” or you can choose to save them to a different folder on your computer.

Conclusion

Downloading full-resolution photos from iCloud is an easy process that anyone with a basic understanding of using a computer can do. With these simple steps, you can download all your iCloud photos without compromising on the quality. Just remember that it’s essential to back up your photos regularly to avoid losing any precious memories. So, follow these steps, download your photos, and create a safe, offline backup to cherish those moments forever.
