Introduction:

The 3D flower bun is an elegant and intricate hairstyle perfect for special occasions, weddings, or just a day you want to feel fabulous. With a little practice and patience, you can create this beautiful updo by following these simple steps.

1. Start with clean, dry hair:

For the best results, make sure your hair is clean and dry before starting the styling process.

2. Brush your hair:

Thoroughly brush your hair to remove any knots or tangles.

3. Separate hair into three sections:

Divide your hair into three even sections – left, middle and right. Secure each section with a hair elastic close to your scalp at the nape of your neck.

4. Create a ponytail in the middle section:

Tightly secure the middle section into a low ponytail using a hair elastic.

5. Backcomb the middle ponytail:

Gently backcomb the middle ponytail to create volume. This will provide a strong base for the bun.

6. Twist and wrap the ponytail:

Twist the backcombed ponytail and wrap it around its base to form a small bun. Secure with bobby pins.

7. Divide left section into two parts:

Separate the left section into two equal parts, creating an upper and lower half.

8. Braid the upper left part:

Braid the upper left part and secure it with an elastic at the end.

9. Shape braid into flower petal:

Wrap the braid around itself to form a small spiral resembling a flower petal. Secure with bobby pins.

10. Attach petal to bun base:

Pin the flower petal, formed in step 9, to overlap and attach it on top of the twisted bun base from step 6.

11. Repeat steps 7-10 for right section:

Follow the same procedure for the right section – divide it into two equal parts, braid the upper part, shape it into a flower petal, and attach it to the bun base.

12. Backcomb lower left and right sections:

To create texture, carefully backcomb the lower left and right sections of hair.

13. Wrap and secure remaining hair around bun:

Loosely twist the remaining backcombed hair from both sides and wrap it around the flower bun. Secure with bobby pins as needed.

14. Finishing touches:

Once your 3D flower bun is complete, check for any loose ends and secure them accordingly. Mist your updo with a light hairspray to hold it in place throughout the day.

In conclusion, creating a stunning 3D flower bun may seem complex at first glance, but follow these 14 steps carefully to achieve a beautiful and unique hairstyle that is guaranteed to impress! Practice makes perfect, so don’t hesitate to experiment until you feel comfortable with the styling process.
