Chromebooks are becoming increasingly popular as a lightweight and affordable alternative to traditional laptops. However, if you’re new to Chromebooks, you may be wondering how to delete apps. Fortunately, the process is quick and easy.

Method 1: Using the App Drawer

1.Click on the “Launcher” button in the bottom left corner of the screen. This will open the app drawer.

2.Find the app you want to delete and right-click on it. If you’re using a touchscreen, long-press on the app instead.

3.Select “Uninstall” from the context menu that appears.

4.A confirmation dialog will appear. Click “Uninstall” to confirm.

Method 2: Using the Settings Menu

1.Click on the time in the bottom right corner of the screen to open the system menu.

2.Click on the gear icon to open the Settings menu.

3.Scroll down to the “Google Play Store” section and click on “Manage Android preferences.”

4.This will open the Android settings menu. Click on “Apps & notifications.”

5.Find the app you want to delete and click on it.

6.Click on “Uninstall” and confirm the action.

Method 3: Using the Google Play Store

1.Open the Google Play Store from the app drawer.

2.Click on the three lines in the top left corner of the screen to open the menu.

3.Click on “My apps & games.”

4.Find the app you want to delete and click on it.

5.Click on “Uninstall” and confirm the action.

That’s it! With these three methods, you can quickly and easily delete apps from your Chromebook. Whether you prefer using the app drawer, the settings menu, or the Google Play Store, deleting apps is a straightforward process that won’t take up too much of your time.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
