How to Delete Any App Data From Your iCloud Storage

iCloud is one of Apple’s most popular cloud storage services, providing users with backup and syncing capabilities for all their iOS devices. However, over time, your iCloud storage may become cluttered with app data that you no longer need, which can take up significant space that you could otherwise use for other purposes. If you’re wondering how to delete any app data from your iCloud storage, read on for some easy steps that you can follow.

Step 1: Check Your iCloud Storage

Before you begin deleting app data, it’s important to check how much storage you have available on your iCloud account. To do this, open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad, tap on your Apple ID at the top of the screen, select iCloud, then choose Manage Storage. Once you’re there, you should see a list of apps that are currently using up space in your iCloud storage.

Step 2: Delete App Data

To delete app data from iCloud, tap on the app that you want to remove, then choose Delete Data. This will remove all data that is associated with the app from your iCloud storage. If you have multiple apps that you want to delete, you can repeat this process for each one until you have cleared up enough space on your iCloud storage.

Step 3: Turn Off iCloud Backup for Individual Apps

If you want to prevent an app from uploading data to iCloud in the future, you can turn off iCloud backup for individual apps. To do this, go back to the Manage Storage screen and tap on the app that you want to disable iCloud backup for. From there, toggle off the iCloud Backup option. This will prevent the app from uploading any data to iCloud in the future, which can help to free up space on your iCloud storage.

Step 4: Manage Your iCloud Storage

To ensure that your iCloud storage remains free from unnecessary app data, it’s a good idea to regularly manage your storage. You can do this by going back to the Manage Storage screen and reviewing the apps that are using up space. If you notice an app that you no longer use, you can delete it from your device and then delete its data from your iCloud storage. Additionally, it’s always a good idea to keep an eye on your iCloud storage capacity and upgrade it if necessary to ensure that you always have enough space to back up your important files and data.
