As the use of Google Docs increases with each passing day, a very common question many users ask is how to delete a page in Google Docs. Whether you are a new user or a seasoned user, it is crucial to know how to delete a page from your Google Doc document.

Fortunately, the process to delete a page in Google Docs is quite easy and straightforward. In this article, we’ll guide you through the process step by step.

Method 1: Using backspace or delete key

The simplest way to delete a page in Google Docs is using your keyboard’s backspace or delete key.

1. Go to the page you want to delete.

2. Place your cursor at the end of the previous page.

3. Press the backspace or delete key continuously until the page is deleted.

Method 2: Using the option provided in Google Docs

1. Open your Google Docs document and click on the ‘View’ option on the top toolbar.

2. From the dropdown menu, choose ‘Print layout’.

3. Select the page you want to delete.

4. Go to the ‘File’ menu and select ‘Print’.

5. In the preview window that pops up, select the page or pages that you want to delete

6. Click on the ‘More Settings’ option towards the bottom of the dialogue box

7. Uncheck the ‘Header and Footers’ box.

8. Select ‘Save’.

9. The document will download in PDF format, with the page or pages you selected removed.

10. You can then upload the updated file back to Google Docs by clicking on ‘File’ and then ‘Open’ to start the upload process, after which you will have a document with the page deleted.

Method 3: Using tables

You can also use tables to delete pages in Google Docs quickly.

1. Start by creating a table with sufficient rows and columns to include all the contents on the page you want to delete.

2. Then, copy and paste all the visual elements of the page into the first cell of the table.

3. Highlight the empty cells below the first cell.

4. Press the delete key to remove the empty cells. This will cause all the page contents to be confined to just the first cell.

5. Highlight the table that now contains the elements you want to keep.

6. Click on the ‘Table’ option in the top toolbar, and then select ‘Delete table.’

By following these three methods, you can quickly delete a page from your Google Docs document. Regardless of which method you choose, always make sure to double-check your document before making any final changes to avoid any mistakes.
