OneNote is a popular note-taking tool that is widely used by students, professionals, and businesses alike. It is an excellent tool for organizing your ideas, tracking your to-dos, and creating project notes. It allows you to create multiple notebooks so that you can keep your notes organized by project or topic. But what happens when you no longer need a notebook and want to delete it? In this article, we will show you how to delete a notebook in OneNote.

Step 1: Open OneNote

The first step is to open OneNote on your computer. This can be done by clicking on the Start menu, searching for OneNote and clicking on it.

Step 2: Select the notebook you want to delete

Once you have OneNote open, you will need to select the notebook you want to delete. This can be done by clicking on the notebook’s name in the navigation pane on the left-hand side of the screen.

Step 3: Right-click on the notebook

With the notebook selected, right-click on the notebook’s name. A context menu will appear.

Step 4: Click on Delete

In the context menu, click on the Delete option. A pop-up window will appear, asking if you are sure you want to delete the notebook.

Step 5: Confirm the deletion

If you are sure you want to delete the notebook, click on the Yes button in the pop-up window. If you change your mind and decide not to delete the notebook, click on the No button instead.

Step 6: Check the Deleted Items folder (Optional)

Deleted notebooks are moved to the Deleted Items folder in OneNote. If you want to recover the notebook or its contents, you can do so from this folder. To access the Deleted Items folder, click on the Deleted Items tab in the navigation pane on the left-hand side of the screen.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
