Reddit is a popular platform that allows users to share content, participate in discussions, and interact with others from around the world. At times, you may want to cross out text in your comments or posts for various reasons, such as making corrections or adding a humorous touch. In this article, we will explore four simple steps to cross out text on Reddit using your Android device.

Step 1: Open Reddit App and Navigate to Comment or Post

First, open the official Reddit app on your Android device. If you do not have it installed already, download it from the Google Play Store. Once logged in, navigate to the comment section or post where you would like to insert the crossed-out text.

Step 2: Type Your Text

Type your text as you normally would. You can input it in either the comment or post section, depending on where you want the crossed-out text to appear.

Step 3: Insert Tildes Around Text

To create crossed-out text on Reddit, simply insert two tildes (~) before and after the text you want to apply strikethrough. For example:

~~crossed out text~~

Make sure there are no spaces between the tildes and your text; otherwise, the formatting will not work correctly.

Step 4: Submit Your Comment or Post

Once you have inserted the tildes around your text, review your comment or post and make any necessary adjustments. When ready, hit ‘submit’ or ‘post,’ and your crossed-out text will be visible for other users to see in your comment or post.

In conclusion, these four straightforward steps will help you cross out text on Reddit using an Android device. This simple formatting trick can be helpful for conveying ideas more effectively or adding a touch of humor to enhance user engagement. Happy Redditing!

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
