ProtonMail is a secure email service that provides end-to-end encryption to protect your emails and personal information. The service is free, simple to use, and doesn’t require any personal information to create an account. In this article, we’ll take you step-by-step through the process of creating a free ProtonMail account.

Step 1: Go to protonmail.com

The first step is to navigate to protonmail.com using your preferred web browser.

Step 2: Click on “Sign Up.”

On the home page, you will find a “Sign Up” button. Click on it to create your new account.

Step 3: Choose your email address and password

Next, you’ll be prompted to choose your email address and password. Your email address will end with “@protonmail.com” and can’t be changed. Choose a strong password with a mix of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols for added security.

Step 4: Choose a recovery email and two-factor authentication

ProtonMail requires a recovery email in the event you forget your password. You’ll also need to enable two-factor authentication for added security.

Step 5: Complete the captcha

To prove you are not a robot, complete the captcha provided.

Step 6: Accept the terms and conditions

Read and accept the terms and conditions of ProtonMail.

Step 7: Your account is created

Congratulations! You have successfully created a free ProtonMail account. You can now sign in and start sending and receiving encrypted emails. Keep in mind that the free version of ProtonMail has some limitations, such as limited storage and fewer features than the paid version. To unlock more features, consider upgrading to a paid plan.

In conclusion, ProtonMail is a highly secure email service that protects your privacy and personal information. Creating a free account on ProtonMail takes only a few minutes and provides you with a highly secure email address. We hope this article has helped you understand how to create a free ProtonMail account.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
