Connecting multiple Bluetooth audio devices to your Windows computer can be a hassle, especially if you want to switch between different audio devices without disconnecting one to connect another. With Windows, you have the option of connecting up to two Bluetooth audio devices simultaneously. This guide will explain how to connect multiple Bluetooth audio devices on Windows.

Step 1: Check your Bluetooth Audio Devices for Compatibility

Before proceeding, check if your audio devices support Bluetooth multipoint. Some audio devices only allow one device to be connected at a time. Multipoint allows you to connect multiple devices simultaneously.

Step 2: Enable Bluetooth on Your Windows Computer

To enable Bluetooth on your Windows computer, navigate to Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices.

Step 3: Pair First Bluetooth Audio Device

To connect your first audio device, click on “Add Bluetooth or other device” > Bluetooth. Select your audio device from the list of available devices.

Step 4: Pair Second Bluetooth Audio Device

To connect your second audio device, hold the Bluetooth button on your second device until it goes into pairing mode. On your Windows computer, go to Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices, click on “Add Bluetooth or other device” > Bluetooth. Select your second audio device from the list and click on “Pair.”

Step 5: Switch between Multiple Audio Devices on Windows

Now, both your Bluetooth audio devices are connected to your Windows computer. To switch between your audio devices, open the taskbar notification area, click on the speaker icon and select “Audio Device Settings.” You can choose your preferred audio device as your default playback device.

Alternatively, you can also utilize the Quick Actions in the Action Center. To access the Action Center, click on the notifications button on the taskbar or press the Windows key + A. Click on the “Connect” option to display all available Bluetooth devices, select the device you want to connect to, and click “Connect.”

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject.
