Google Drive is a popular cloud storage service that offers free and paid storage options. If you use Google Drive frequently, it’s important to keep track of your storage quota to avoid running out of space. In this article, we will guide you on how to check your Google storage quota.

Step One: Sign in to Your Google Account

The first step is to sign in to your Google account. If you are already signed in, skip this step and proceed to the next one.

Step Two: Go to Google Drive

After signing in, go to Google Drive by typing drive.google.com in your web browser’s address bar.

Step Three: Check Your Storage Quota

Once you are on the Google Drive page, click on the gear icon in the upper-right corner of the screen and select “Settings” from the dropdown menu.

In the Settings menu, you will see a bar graph that shows your storage usage. The graph is divided into colors that represent the different categories of files you have stored on Google Drive. Hover your mouse over a color to see how much storage space is being used for that category.

Below the bar graph, you will find your total storage quota and how much of it you have used. If you are using the free version of Google Drive, you will have 15 GB of storage space. If you have a paid subscription, your storage quota will depend on the plan you have selected.

Step Four: Manage Your Storage

If you are running out of storage space, you can manage your files to free up space. You can delete files you no longer need or move them to an external hard drive or another cloud storage service. You can also upgrade to a paid subscription if you need more storage space.

In conclusion, checking your Google storage quota is a simple process that can be done in just a few steps. By keeping track of your storage usage, you can avoid running out of space and manage your files more efficiently.
