Google, one of the leading search engines in the world, offers a wide range of services that people around the globe use on a daily basis. One of these services is Google Plus, a social networking site where users can share information such as pictures, videos, updates, and other content with their friends, family, and peers. Most people sign up for Google+ with their real name or what they call their “public identity.” However, some users may want to change their Google name due to various reasons – such as privacy, incorrect information, or personal preference.
Regardless of why you want to change your Google name, the process is quick and easy. Below are some steps to follow:

Step 1: Open your Google account

To change your name, you must first log in to your Google account. This can be done by visiting the Google homepage and clicking on the “Sign in” button in the top right corner. Once you are signed in, you can then proceed to change your Google name.

Step 2: Access your Google+ profile

Once you have accessed your Google account, click on the “My Account” button located in the top right corner of the screen. From here, you can then click on the “Profile” button to access your Google+ profile.

Step 3: Edit your name
Once you are on your Google+ profile, click on the “About” tab located below your profile picture. You will see your name under the “Basic Information” section. Click on the “Edit” button just below your name.

Step 4: Change your name

In the pop-up window that appears, you can then change your name to whatever you would like. You can change your first, middle, or last name, as well as add any other details you want. Once you have made the changes, click on the “Save” button, and voila! Your Google name is now changed.

It is important to note that there are some restrictions when changing your Google name. For example, you can only change your name three times in a 90-day period. Additionally, Google may ask you for additional information to verify your identity before allowing you to change your name. This is to prevent people from using fake names or impersonating others.

In conclusion, changing your Google name is simple and easy. By following the steps above, you can quickly and easily update your name to reflect your desired public identity. Remember to follow any restrictions Google may have in place and provide accurate information when making changes.
