Facebook is a social media website that connects millions of people around the world. It allows its users to share their thoughts, pictures, and experiences with their friends and family. One of the most important aspects of Facebook is the ability to receive notifications, updates, and alerts through email. However, there may be times when you want to change your email address on Facebook. In this article, we will guide you on how to change your email address on Facebook.

Step 1: Log in to your Facebook account

The first step is to log in to your Facebook account using your current email address and password. Once you have successfully logged in, you will be directed to your news feed.

Step 2: Locate the Settings icon

Next, look for the Settings icon on the top right-hand corner of the screen. It is represented by a gear icon. Click on it, and a drop-down menu will appear.

Step 3: Select the General Account Settings option.

From the drop-down menu, select the ‘Settings & Privacy’ option, and from there, choose ‘Settings.’ This step will direct you to the General Account Settings page.

Step 4: Choose the Email option

On the General Account Settings page, locate the ‘Email’ option and click on it. Here you will see your current email address that is linked to your Facebook account.

Step 5: Add a new email address

Click on the ‘Add Email Address’ option to add a new email. Add the new email address to which you want all the Facebook notifications and alerts to be sent.

Step 6: Verify the new email address

After entering the new email address, Facebook will send you a verification email to confirm the new email address. Open your email account and click on the verification link provided by Facebook.

Step 7: Make the new email your primary email address

Once you have verified your new email address, go back to the Email section in the General Account Settings page. You will find the new email address listed along with your old email address. Click on the ‘Make primary’ option next to the new email address. Once you have made your new email address the primary email address, all your Facebook notifications and alerts will be sent to that email address.

In conclusion, changing your email address on Facebook is easy and straightforward. Following the above steps, you can change your email address and keep your Facebook account updated with the latest information. So, the next time you want to change your email address on Facebook, follow these simple steps and enjoy staying connected with your friends and family.
