How to Cancel YouTube Premium

YouTube Premium, previously known as YouTube Red, is a subscription-based service provided by YouTube that allows users to watch videos without any ads, download and save videos for offline viewing, and get access to exclusive content produced by YouTube creators. However, there may come a time when you want to cancel your YouTube Premium subscription, either due to financial reasons or a change in your viewing habits. In this article, we will guide you on how to cancel your YouTube Premium subscription.
Step 1: Log into your YouTube account
Firstly, you need to log into your YouTube account to access your subscription settings. Go to the YouTube website and click the Sign-in button in the top-right corner of the screen. Enter your email address and password and click the Sign In button.
Step 2: Access your YouTube Premium subscription settings
Once you are logged in, click on your account avatar in the top-right corner and select the “Paid memberships” option from the dropdown menu. This will take you to a page displaying all your paid subscriptions, including YouTube Premium.
Step 3: Cancel your YouTube Premium subscription
Click on the “Manage membership” button next to your YouTube Premium subscription. This will take you to a page where you can view your subscription details and manage your subscription settings. Scroll down to the “Cancel membership” section and click on the “Cancel membership” button.
You will be asked to confirm that you want to cancel your subscription. Once you confirm, your YouTube Premium subscription will be cancelled, and you won’t be charged any more subscription fees.
Step 4: Enjoy YouTube without Premium
After cancelling your YouTube Premium subscription, you will go back to the free version of YouTube. You will start seeing ads again when watching videos, and you won’t be able to download videos or access exclusive content. However, you will still have access to all the standard features of YouTube, including the ability to upload and watch videos, and engage with the YouTube community.
