Google Chrome is a popular browser that is known for its user-friendly features and ease of use. One of the interesting features that the browser has is its ability to adjust the volume of tabs individually. This is a feature that comes in handy when you have multiple tabs playing sounds at the same time, and you need to adjust the sound levels of each tab independently. In this article, we will take a look at how you can adjust the volume of tabs in Chrome.

Step 1: Open Chrome and Look for the Audio Icon

The first thing that you need to do is to open Google Chrome and look for the audio icon that appears on the tab that is playing sound. The icon looks like a speaker and is located on the right side of the tab.

Step 2: Click on the Audio Icon

After you have found the audio icon, click on it, and a small pop-up window will appear. The window will show you the title of the tab that is playing sound and a volume slider that you can move to adjust the volume of the tab.

Step 3: Adjust the Volume of the Tab

To adjust the volume of the tab, drag the slider to the left to decrease the volume, or to the right to increase the volume. You can also mute the tab by clicking on the speaker icon next to the volume slider.

Step 4: Save the Volume Settings

Once you have adjusted the volume of the tab, you can save the volume settings by clicking on the lock icon that appears next to the volume slider. Clicking on the lock icon will prevent the volume from changing unless you adjust it manually again.

Step 5: Repeat the Process for Other Tabs

If you have multiple tabs playing sound, you can repeat the process for each tab to adjust the volume levels independently. By adjusting the volume levels of each tab separately, you can avoid the hassle of suddenly encountering loud or muted sounds when you switch between tabs.

Conclusion

In conclusion, adjusting the volume of tabs in Google Chrome is an easy and useful feature that can come in handy when browsing. By following the steps outlined in this article, you can adjust the volume of each tab individually and get a sound that suits your preferences. With this feature, you can browse without worrying about sudden loud sounds or muted audio.
