Adding programs to startup in Windows 11 is a great way to automate actions and save time. When you add programs to startup, they will automatically start up every time you restart your computer. This means that you won’t need to manually launch them each time you need them.

Here’s how to add programs to startup in Windows 11:

  1. Open the Task Manager

To open the Task Manager, right-click on the taskbar and then select the Task Manager option. Alternatively, you can use the keyboard shortcut “Ctrl+Shift+Esc” to launch the Task Manager.

  1. Go to the Startup tab

After launching the Task Manager, click on the Startup tab to see the list of programs that are already set to start when Windows boots up.

  1. Add a New Program

To add a new program to startup, click on the “Add” button. This will open a window allowing you to browse to the location of the program you wish to add.

  1. Select the Program You Want to Add

Navigate to the folder where your application is located and select it. You can either double-click on the folder containing the application or click on it once and then click the “Select Folder” button.

  1. Verify the Application is Added

Once you have selected the application, it will be added to the startup list. You can verify this by checking the “Enabled” column in the Startup tab of the Task Manager. If the program is enabled, it will start automatically when you boot up your computer.

Repeat these steps to add more programs to startup in Windows 11.

Removing programs from Startup in Windows 11

If you no longer want a program to start automatically when you log in, you can remove it from the startup list. To remove a program from startup in Windows 11, follow these steps:

1. Open the Task Manager

2. Go to the Startup tab

3. Right-click on the program you want to remove from startup and select “Disable”.

4. You can also select the program and click on “Disable” at the bottom-right corner of the Task Manager.

Conclusion

Adding programs to startup in Windows 11 can help save you time and streamline your workflow. By following the steps outlined above, you can successfully add and remove programs from Startup in Windows 11 and customize your startup list.
