How to Add Password to a Microsoft Word Document on Mac and Windows

As our lives continue to become more intertwined with technology, adding and removing phone numbers from apps like Messages and FaceTime has become an everyday task. Whether you’re looking to streamline your communication or protect your privacy, here’s a quick guide on how to add or remove your phone number in Messages and FaceTime on your iPhone.

Adding Your Phone Number to Messages or FaceTime:

Step 1: Open up the Settings app on your iPhone.

Step 2: Scroll down until you see “Messages” or “FaceTime,” depending on which app you want to use.

Step 3: Tap on “Messages” or “FaceTime” and look for “Send & Receive.”

Step 4: Under “Send & Receive,” you will see a section labeled “You Can Be Reached By iMessage at” with your phone number and any associated email addresses. If your phone number isn’t there, tap on “Add Another Email” to add it.

Step 5: Make sure your phone number is selected under “Start New Conversations From.” You can also choose to add or remove other email addresses associated with your Apple ID under “You Can Be Reached By iMessage At.”

Step 6: To add your phone number to FaceTime, go back to the main “Settings” screen and choose “FaceTime.” Then, repeat Step 4 and select your phone number under “Caller ID.”

Removing Your Phone Number from Messages or FaceTime:

If you’re looking to remove your phone number from Messages or FaceTime, follow these steps:

Step 1: Open up the Settings app on your iPhone.

Step 2: Scroll down until you see “Messages” or “FaceTime,” depending on which app you want to use.

Step 3: Tap on “Messages” or “FaceTime” and look for “Send & Receive.”

Step 4: Under “Send & Receive,” uncheck the box next to your phone number. This will remove your phone number as an option for sending or receiving iMessages or FaceTime calls.

Step 5: To remove your phone number from FaceTime, go back to the main “Settings” screen and choose “FaceTime.” Then, uncheck the box next to your phone number under “Caller ID.”
