Spread the love

Spotify, the popular music streaming platform, is not only a great way to discover new music but also a social media platform for music lovers. One of the exciting features of Spotify is that it allows you to connect with your friends and see what they are listening to. However, some users have difficulty navigating the app and adding friends. In this article, we will guide you through the process of adding friends on Spotify.

Step-by-Step Guide to Adding Friends on Spotify

1. Download the Spotify app on your mobile device or desktop. If you already have it installed, sign in to your account.

2. Navigate to the search bar at the bottom of the screen and search for the username of the friend you want to add. You can also search for your friend’s name or find them through Facebook.

3. Once you find your friend on Spotify, click on their username to go to their profile.

4. On the profile page, you’ll see a Follow button. Click on it to add them to your Friends list. If the user has a public profile, you should be able to see what they are currently listening to on your home feed.

5. If the friend request is accepted, you’ll receive a notification from Spotify. Now you can see what they are listening to and share music with them.

Other Tips for Adding Friends on Spotify

1. It is essential to remember that Spotify requires users to have a Facebook account to use the social features of the platform. So make sure to connect Spotify with Facebook before you try to add friends.

2. If you don’t want to use Facebook, you can find friends by following their Spotify profile’s unique URL. You can also share your Spotify profile on your other social media platforms to find new connections.

3. You can also use the search bar to find and follow your favorite artists or celebrities. This way, you can keep up-to-date with their latest releases and even catch hidden playlists.

In conclusion, adding friends on Spotify is straightforward and quick. Remember to connect your Facebook account and use the search bar to find and follow friends. With these tips, you’ll be able to enjoy the true social aspect of Spotify and discover new music with your loved ones.
