Animal Crossing is a popular video game that simulates life on a virtual island. It allows players to build their own homes, create their own gardens, and connect with other players from around the world. One of the most enjoyable aspects of the game is the ability to add friends and play together.

If you’re new to the game or you’re having a hard time adding friends, then you’ve come to the right place. In this article, we’ll guide you on how to add friends on Animal Crossing.

Method 1: Adding Friends through Friend Code

First, you need to exchange friend codes with someone you want to add as a friend. To find your friend code, follow these steps:

– Start your game and sign in to your account.

– Go to your main menu and select “Friends”

– Scroll down until you find your own Friend Code.

– Share your friend code with the person you want to add and ask for theirs as well.

Once you have received their friend code, follow these steps to add them as a friend:

– Go back to the main menu and select “Friends” again.

– Select “Add Friend”

– Select “Search with Friend Code”

– Enter your friend’s code

– Wait for your friend request to be accepted.

Method 2: Adding Friends through Local Play

If you’re playing Animal Crossing with someone who is nearby, you can use the Local Play feature to add them as a friend. Here’s how:

– Both players need to be in close proximity

– Go to your main menu and select “Play Together”

– Select “Local Play”

– Wait for the other player’s island to show up on your screen

– Select the option to visit their island or have them visit yours.

– Once you’re on their island, go to their main menu, select “Friends,” and then “Add Friend.”

– Wait for the request to be accepted.

Method 3: Adding Friends through Online Play

To add friends through online play, you’ll need a Nintendo Switch Online subscription. Here’s how:

– Start your game and sign in to your account

– Go to your main menu and select “Play Together”

– Select “Online Play”

– Wait for the other player’s island to show up on your screen

– Visit their island or have them visit yours.

– Once you’re on their island, go to their main menu, select “Friends,” and then “Add Friend.”

– Wait for the request to be accepted.

Final Thoughts

Adding friends on Animal Crossing is a fun way to connect with other players and enjoy the game together. With these simple steps, you can easily add friends to your list and start playing together. Remember to always be respectful and kind to your fellow players, happy gaming!
