VIZIO’s Smart TVs are known for their convenience and user-friendly design, which enables you to easily access a range of streaming services and applications. The Smart TV platform provides quick and easy access to online streaming services such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Hulu, and more, as well as a wide range of other apps that you can download onto your TV. In this article, we’ll discuss how to add apps to your VIZIO Smart TV.

Step 1: Connect your Smart TV to the Internet

Before you can begin downloading apps to your VIZIO Smart TV, you need to ensure that it is properly connected to the internet. You can connect your TV to the internet in one of two ways: via wired Ethernet or a wireless network.

If you have a wired Ethernet connection, plug one end of an Ethernet cable into your TV and the other into your internet router. If you have a wireless network, navigate to the settings menu on your TV and select Network, then Wi-Fi, and follow the on-screen prompts to connect to your home Wi-Fi network.

Step 2: Access the Smart TV App Store

Once your VIZIO Smart TV is connected to the internet, you can then access the Smart TV app store, which contains all the apps available on your TV. To access the store, navigate to the home screen on your TV, and select the “V” button on your remote. This will bring up the main menu.

From there, you should select “Apps” and then “App Store” to be taken to the app store menu.

Step 3: Search for and download apps

Once you are in the app store, you can browse the available apps or search for a specific app by using the search bar. Once you find an app you want to download, click the “Download” button.

If you’re not sure what apps to look for, you can browse recommended apps in the “Top App” section, as well as browse by category such as Games, Lifestyle, Education, and more. It is important to note that some of the apps may require paid subscriptions or additional fees to access, so be sure to read the app description and reviews before downloading.

Step 4: Launch and use the app

Once you have downloaded an app, it will appear on your TV’s home screen. Click on the app icon to launch the app and start using it. Most of the apps will come with their own on-screen instructions and guidance to help you navigate through the app.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
