How to Access Advanced Startup Options in Windows 11, 10, or 8

As a Windows user, you might have heard of the advanced startup options. Advanced startup options are advanced diagnostic and repair tools that are built into Windows operating system. These tools can fix various issues such as black screens, damaged operating system files, and start-up errors. In this article, we will guide you through the process of accessing advanced startup options in Windows 11, 10, or 8.

Method 1: Accessing Advanced Startup Options from the start menu in Windows 11 and 10

Step 1:

Click on the start button in the bottom left corner of your screen.

Step 2:

Click on the power button.

Step 3:

Hold down the shift key while clicking on the restart option.

Step 4:

You will be taken to the Choose an option screen. From here, you can select the advanced startup options.

Method 2: Using the Settings app in Windows 11 and 10

Step 1:

Click on the start button and then click on the settings icon (gear icon).

From the settings app, click on the update and security option.

Step 3:

From the update and security screen, click on the recovery option.

Step 4:

Under the advanced startup section, click on the restart now button.

Step 5:

Method 3: Using the Advanced Start-up Options Menu in Windows 8

Step 1:

Move your mouse pointer to the bottom right corner of the screen to open the Charms bar.

Step 2:

Click on the settings button.

Step 3:

Click on the power icon.

Step 4:

Hold down the shift key while clicking on the restart option.

Step 5:

You will be taken to the Choose an option screen. From here, you can select the advanced startup options.
