In today’s fast-paced world, no one has the time to do everything manually. You need shortcuts to accomplish your daily tasks quickly and efficiently. If you are an iPhone user, you are in luck as there are many handy shortcuts built right into your device. Here are some handy iPhone shortcuts to automate everyday tasks:

  1. Text Expansion Shortcuts

Do you frequently find yourself typing the same thing over and over again? Perhaps you need to send the same email to different people or respond to the same query multiple times on WhatsApp. Whatever the case, text expansion shortcuts can be a real time-saver. You can set up shortcuts for common phrases, such as “I’ll be there in 10 minutes” or “Can’t talk right now” and use them by typing a single abbreviation.

To set up text expansion shortcuts, go to Settings > Keyboard > Text Replacement. Then, add your phrases with the corresponding abbreviations.

  1. Siri Shortcuts

Siri shortcuts have been around for a while now, but many iPhone users are still unaware of their potential. With Siri shortcuts, you can automate a range of tasks, from running a specific app to checking your calendar or playing your favorite playlist. You can even set up custom Siri shortcuts for third-party apps.

To set up Siri shortcuts, go to Settings > Siri & Search > All Shortcuts. You can then choose from a variety of options or create a custom shortcut.

  1. Automation Shortcuts

Automation shortcuts are a new feature in iOS 14 that lets you create complex actions that can perform multiple tasks with a single tap. For example, you can set up an automation shortcut that turns off all your smart lights and lowers the thermostat when you go to bed. You can also create shortcuts for various other routines, such as opening a specific app, sending a message, or starting a timer.

To create an automation shortcut, go to the Shortcuts app and tap on Automation. Then, choose the trigger for your shortcut, such as time of day, location, or app. You can then add the actions that you want your shortcut to perform.

  1. AssistiveTouch Shortcuts

AssistiveTouch is a feature in iOS that allows you to perform various tasks without using physical buttons. You can set up shortcuts for common tasks such as taking a screenshot, bringing up the control center, or locking your screen. You can even add custom actions, such as launching a specific app or playing a video.

To set up AssistiveTouch shortcuts, go to Settings > Accessibility > Touch > AssistiveTouch. You can then customize the actions to suit your needs.
