The highly anticipated Elden Ring has captured the hearts of gamers worldwide, but as wondrous as it may be, it can sometimes come with performance issues. Fear not, fellow player! This article will provide you with easy tips and tricks to boost your frame rates and enhance your overall gaming experience.

1. Lower In-Game Settings

One of the first things you can do is tweaking the in-game settings. Reducing graphics quality or resolution can significantly improve performance. Here are some settings you should consider tweaking:

– Lower screen resolution

– Adjust shadows and lighting

– Disable motion blur

– Turn off ambient occlusion

Be sure to test out different combinations to achieve the best balance between visual quality and performance.

2. Update Graphics Drivers

Outdated graphics drivers may not support optimal performance for newer games like Elden Ring. Visit your GPU manufacturer’s website (such as Nvidia or AMD) and download the latest drivers for better compatibility.

3. Optimize Windows Performance

If you’re playing on a Windows PC, optimizing your computer’s performance can help improve your frame rates significantly. Follow these simple steps:

– Close unnecessary background applications

– Enable “High Performance” mode in Power Options

– Disable visual effects by right-clicking on My Computer > Properties > Advanced System Settings > Performance and adjusting for best possible performance.

4. Monitor CPU & GPU Temps

Ensure that your CPU & GPU temperatures are within safe limits during gameplay. Overheating can cause hardware malfunctioning and reduced game performance. You can use free monitoring software like MSI Afterburner or HWMonitor to keep an eye on temps.

5. Overclocking (Advanced Users)

Overclocking allows pushing your GPU or CPU beyond their default clock speeds, granting you increased performance in games like Elden Ring. However, this comes with risks if not done correctly. It’s best to only overclock if you’re an advanced user with experience and proper cooling solutions in place.

Remember that each piece of hardware is different, and overclocking results can vary. Proceed with caution and research your device’s specifications before attempting this.

By following these easy tips, you’ll be well on your way to experiencing Elden Ring as smoothly as ever! Enjoy the immersive world of Elden Ring without the hindrance of low frame rates and improve your overall gaming experience.
