Recreational Vehicle (RV) camping offers a wonderful blend of comfort and adventure. It allows you to bring a piece of home along as you explore scenic landscapes and reconnect with nature. However, snagging the perfect campsite can sometimes be a bit tricky. Fret not! Here are six hacks to ensure you make the best RV reservations, simplifying your travel and elevating your outdoor experience.

1.Book Early – Especially during peak season, good spots at popular locations can fill up fast. As soon as you know your travel dates, make your reservation. Some campgrounds even allow bookings up to a year in advance.

2.Leverage Technology – There are numerous apps and websites such as ReserveAmerica, Campendium, and RV Trip Wizard that offer streamlined search and booking capabilities for various campsites. Take advantage of these tools to compare amenities, prices, and read reviews from other RVers.

3.Consider Shoulder Seasons – The months immediately before or after peak season can provide an excellent opportunity to enjoy prime locations without the competition for space. During these times, you’re more likely to find available spots in sought-after destinations.

4.Enroll in Loyalty Programs – Many campground chains and RV resorts offer loyalty programs that provide access to early booking windows or reserved spots for members. Over time, loyalty points can also earn you discounts or free stays.

5.Opt for Longer Stays – Some parks prioritize longer-term reservations over short-term stays during busy times. Booking for a week or more could give you an edge over those looking for shorter accommodations.

6.Stay Flexible with Your Dates – If your schedule allows it, being flexible with your travel dates can open up options that wouldn’t be available to those with rigid plans. Sometimes arriving on a weekday instead of a weekend makes all the difference.

By implementing these hacks when making your RV reservations, you’ll improve your chances of securing that perfect spot amidst the natural beauty of your chosen destination. Happy travels!

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
