Samsung has been releasing premium smartphones under its Galaxy S series for years, but in September 2020, they released a new addition to the series – the Galaxy S20 FE (Fan Edition). This phone has many of the same features as the other S20 phones but comes at a much lower price point. So, what makes the Galaxy S20 FE stand out from other midrange phones? Let’s take a closer look.

Design and Display

The Galaxy S20 FE has a sleek design with a metal frame and plastic back. It comes in several vibrant colors, including Cloud Navy, Cloud Lavender, Cloud Mint, Cloud Red, and Cloud White. The display on the Galaxy S20 FE is 6.5 inches and has a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. It also has a high refresh rate of 120Hz, which makes scrolling and animations smoother.

Camera

The camera on the Galaxy S20 FE is impressive for a midrange phone. It has a triple-lens setup with a primary sensor of 12 megapixels, an ultra-wide sensor of 12 megapixels, and a telephoto sensor of 8 megapixels. The camera takes great photos and videos in various lighting conditions, and it also has several features such as Night Mode and Super Slow-mo.

Performance

The Galaxy S20 FE is equipped with a powerful processor and plenty of RAM. It runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 (or Exynos 990 outside of North America) and has 6GB or 8GB of RAM depending on the model. The phone runs smoothly and can handle multiple apps open at once without any lag.

Battery Life

The Galaxy S20 FE has a 4,500mAh battery, which is larger than some of the other S20 models. It also has fast charging capabilities and can charge up to 50% in just 30 minutes. The battery life is impressive and can last all day with moderate use.

Price

The biggest selling point of the Galaxy S20 FE is its price. It starts at $699, which is significantly less than the other S20 models. This makes it an excellent choice for anyone who wants a high-end phone without breaking the bank.

Conclusion

Overall, the Galaxy S20 FE is an excellent midrange phone that offers many of the same features as the other S20 models at a lower price point. It has a sleek design, impressive camera, powerful performance, and long battery life. If you’re in the market for a new phone and don’t want to spend a fortune, the Galaxy S20 FE is definitely worth considering.
