In this digital age, our smartphones are filled with numerous apps that we download from app stores. Over time, these apps can pile up and it can be challenging to keep track of all the apps you’ve ever downloaded. In this article, we will explore how you can find every app you’ve ever downloaded on your Android and iPhone devices, making it easier for you to manage your phone storage and rediscover long-forgotten apps.

Section 1: Finding Downloaded Apps on Android Devices

1.1 Accessing Google Play Store

– Open the Google Play Store app on your device

– Tap on the three horizontal lines (hamburger menu) at the top left corner

– Select “My apps & games” from the dropdown menu

1.2 Navigating through previously installed apps

– In “My apps & games,” choose the “Library” tab

– Scroll through the list of apps in alphabetical order to see all the apps you’ve ever downloaded

– Download/Reinstall an app: Tap ‘Install’ beside the desired app

Section 2: Finding Downloaded Apps on iOS Devices

2.1 Accessing App Store

– Open the App Store app on your iPhone or iPad

– Tap on your profile picture at the top right corner

2.2 Viewing purchased (including free) apps

– Choose ‘Purchased’ from the menu

– If prompted, sign in with your Apple ID

– Select “Not on this iPhone/iPad” tab for a list of all previously downloaded/delisted apps

2.3 Searching for specific apps

– Use the search bar at the top of your screen to find specific apps by typing their names

Section 3: Recovering Forgotten Passwords and Managing Parental Controls (Optional)

3.1 Resetting passwords and recovering accounts

– Discuss the steps to recover Apple ID or Google Account password if needed to access downloaded app list

3.2 Parental control considerations

– Enable necessary parental controls on device/app purchases; highlighting Family sharing options for iOS devices and Family Library for Android

Conclusion

In summary, by following these simple steps, you can easily find all the apps you have ever downloaded on your Android or iPhone devices. This will enable you to reinstall any lost apps, free up space by deleting apps no longer in use, and organize your apps more effectively.

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject.
