A wedding cookie table is a sweet and delightful tradition that adds a personal touch to your special day. Not only do these heavenly treats provide a delectable dessert option for guests, they also serve as beautiful decorations for your reception. In this article, we’ll share some scrumptious and crowd-pleasing cookie recipes that are perfect for your wedding cookie table.

1. Classic Sugar Cookies:

Nothing quite says “wedding” like delicate, buttery sugar cookies adorned with stunning decorations. This classic recipe creates cookies that are perfect for customizing with royal icing, fondant, or edible glitter.

Ingredients:

– 1 cup unsalted butter, softened

– 1 cup granulated sugar

– 1 large egg

– 2 tsp vanilla extract

– 3 cups all-purpose flour

– 1/2 tsp baking powder

Instructions:

1. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.

2. Add the egg and vanilla extract and mix until well combined.

3. Gradually add the flour and baking powder, mixing just until the dough comes together.

4. Divide the dough in half, wrap in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.

5. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

6. Roll out the dough to about 1/4-inch thickness on a lightly floured surface.

7. Use cookie cutters to cut your desired shapes and transfer them to the prepared baking sheet.

8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are just lightly golden.

9. Remove from oven and allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

10. Decorate as desired using royal icing, fondant, or edible glitter.

2. Decadent Chocolate Chip Cookies:

Chocolate chip cookies are a classic favorite, and they’re sure to be a hit at any wedding cookie table. This recipe guarantees soft, chewy cookies with an irresistible flavor.

Ingredients:

– 1 cup unsalted butter, softened

– 1 cup granulated sugar

– 1 cup packed brown sugar

– 2 large eggs

– 2 tsp vanilla extract

– 3 cups all-purpose flour

– 1 tsp baking soda

– 1/2 tsp baking powder

– 1/2 tsp salt

– 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.

4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.

5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

6. Fold in the chocolate chips.

7. Use a cookie scoop or spoon to drop dough balls onto the prepared baking sheet about 2 inches apart.

8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are slightly golden brown.

9. Remove from oven and let cookies cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
