Introduction:

The much-anticipated Dead Space Remake has finally arrived, and with it comes the opportunity for players to experience the beloved horror-action game in a brand-new light. Just like the original, this version of the game is filled with an array of hidden secrets and Easter eggs. One such treasure is the Sea Shanty Easter egg, a whimsical find that offers a moment of levity amidst the terror. In this article, we’ll explore how to discover and enjoy this delightful little secret.

Step 1: Reach the Hydroponics Deck:

To begin your quest for the Sea Shanty Easter egg, you must first gain access to the Hydroponics Deck. To do so, play through the game as you typically would until you reach Chapter 6: Environmental Hazard.

Step 2: Locate the Water Processing Area:

After completing several objectives in the Hydroponics section, you will eventually reach a room known as Water Processing Area A. This room contains multiple water-filled tanks and submerged platforms.

Step 3: Climb onto the Platform:

In Water Processing Area A, locate the central platform that appears to have a large valve wheel on it, surrounded by three smaller wheels. Carefully make your way onto this platform using Isaac’s Kinesis ability and careful platforming skills.

Step 4: Turn the Valve Wheels:

Once you’re securely on the platform, interact with each of the three smaller valve wheels. These must be turned in a particular order to activate the Sea Shanty Easter egg. The correct sequence is as follows:

– Begin by turning the left wheel.

– Second, turn the wheel on the right.

– Finally, turn the center wheel.

Upon completing these steps in order, you will hear an ominous creaking sound followed by a sudden burst of pirate-themed music with lyrics reminiscent of traditional sea shanties.

Conclusion:

The addition of the Sea Shanty Easter egg in the Dead Space Remake demonstrates the developers’ dedication to creating memorable moments for both returning and new players. This light-hearted musical interlude offers an amusing contrast to the game’s overall grim and chilling atmosphere. So, go ahead and take a break from battling Necromorphs, enjoy this entertaining Easter egg, and let your inner pirate set sail!
