Cool iPhone Hacks and Tricks You Need to Try
As one of the most popular smartphones on the market, the iPhone offers users plenty of features and functions to make their lives easier. But did you know that there are a number of cool iPhone hacks and tricks you can use to make your iPhone even more versatile? Here are some of the best iPhone hacks and tips you need to try:
1. Use Siri as Your Personal DJ
If you’re tired of scrolling through your music library looking for a particular song, just tell Siri what you want to hear. For example, say “Hey Siri, play some 80s music” or “Hey Siri, play Bon Jovi.”
2. Take a Screenshot with One Hand
If you don’t like the awkward position you have to hold your iPhone in to take a screenshot, try this hack: hold down the Volume Up button and the Side button (or Home button, if you have an older iPhone) at the same time. This will take a screenshot with just one hand.
3. Use Your iPhone as a Virtual Level
If you need to hang a picture or install a shelf, you can use your iPhone as a virtual level. Open the Compass app, swipe left, and you’ll find a bubble level feature that uses your iPhone’s gyroscope to measure the angle of surfaces.
4. Create a Custom Vibration Pattern
You can create a custom vibration pattern for any contact in your iPhone’s contacts list. Go to Settings > Sounds & Haptics > Ringtone, and choose “Vibration.” Select “Create New Vibration” and then tap out a new vibration pattern on your iPhone’s screen.
5. Scan Documents with Your iPhone Camera
With iOS 11 or later, you can use your iPhone’s camera to scan documents and save them as PDFs. Open the Notes app, create a new note, and tap the “+” sign. Select “Scan Documents” and then capture the pages you want to scan.
6. Block Spam Calls
If you’re receiving a lot of spam calls, you can block them by going to Phone > Recents and tapping the “i” icon next to the caller’s number. Scroll down and select “Block this Caller.”
7. Type Faster with One-Handed Keyboard Mode
If you’re typing with one hand, you can switch your iPhone’s keyboard to one-handed mode. Hold down the Globe icon in the lower left corner of your keyboard, and select the left or right-handed keyboard icon.
