Carol Danvers, also known as Captain Marvel, is an iconic character not just for her superpowers but also for her dynamic and memorable wardrobe. Over the years, we have seen her sport different costumes that have become fan favorites. Here’s a ranked list of her best costumes:

1. The Classic Red, Blue, and Gold: This costume is what comes to mind when fans think of Captain Marvel. Introduced in her 2012 series, it symbolizes Carol’s taking over the mantle from the original Captain Marvel, Mar-Vell. The red and blue suit with gold accents reflects her confidence and strength.

2. Warbird/Ms. Marvel Black Suit: Before she was Captain Marvel, Carol Danvers was Ms. Marvel, and this iconic black suit with the lightning bolt across the torso is perhaps one of the most recognizable costumes in comic book history. It showcases Carol’s early years of heroism.

3. The Military-Inspired Green Kree Uniform: Paying homage to her Kree origins and military background, this green and white costume not only looks powerful but also connects to her roots as a member of the Kree Starforce.

4. Binary Costume: This costume represents Carol’s transformation into her Binary form where she gains immense cosmic powers sourced from a white hole. The red costume with a distinctive star design symbolizes the pinnacle of her powers.

5. The Classic Ms. Marvel Red Sash: A callback to her time as Ms. Marvel, this outfit featured a lightning bolt logo but included a red sash at the waist—a small detail that adds to its classic superhero look.

6. Ultimates Uniform: Serving as part of the Ultimates team, Carol wore a practical suit emphasizing utility over style—with a muted color palette of greyish-blue and black. It presents Carol, the tactician and leader.

7. Space Armor Variation: To handle extreme extraterrestrial conditions, Carol sometimes dons space armor that not only provides extra protection but implies advanced technology in its design aesthetics.

8. Street Clothes As Captain Marvel: Occasionally portrayed in more casual or stealth gears such as leather jackets over a simple get-up with Captain Marvel logo shirts; these outfits reflect Carol’s off-duty persona while still representing her heroic identity.

9. Captain Marvel Flight Suit: Reflective of her Air Force history, some iterations feature a pilot-inspired bodysuit that distinguishes her military career prior to becoming Captain Marvel.

10. The Original Ms. Marvel Blue And Red Suit With Scarf: While less popular than other costumes, this early version has nostalgia value for those who followed Carol Danvers’ transition from Air Force officer to superheroine.

Each costume captures different facets of Carol Danvers’ evolution both as a character and an icon, making each unique in their own right while celebrating the legacy that is Captain Marvel.
