The Canon PIXMA TR4520 is an entry-level all-in-one printer that offers basic printing, scanning, copying, and faxing functionality. It is designed for home users who need a simple and affordable printer that can handle occasional printing tasks.

Design and Features

The Canon PIXMA TR4520 has a relatively compact and lightweight design, measuring 17.2 x 11.7 x 7.5 inches and weighing 13 pounds. It has a matte black finish and a simple, rectangular shape that blends well with most home office setups.

The printer has a two-line LCD display and a control panel with a few buttons for controlling basic functions. It also has an Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) on top that can hold up to 20 sheets of paper for scanning or copying multiple pages at once.

The PIXMA TR4520 has a maximum print resolution of 4800 x 1200 dpi and can print at a speed of up to 8.8 pages per minute (ppm) for black and white documents and 4.4 ppm for color documents. It uses a four-color ink system that includes black, cyan, magenta, and yellow cartridges.

The printer also has Wi-Fi connectivity, allowing users to print from their smartphones, tablets, and laptops using the Canon PRINT app. It also supports AirPrint and Mopria Print Service for wireless printing from compatible devices.

Performance and Print Quality

In terms of performance, the Canon PIXMA TR4520 is a relatively slow printer, especially when it comes to double-sided printing. It takes approximately 30 seconds to print a black and white document and around 1 minute and 20 seconds for a color document. The ADF also takes a while to scan or copy multiple pages.

However, the PIXMA TR4520 produces good quality prints, with sharp and well-defined text and vibrant colors. The printer also handles photos well, producing sharp and detailed images with accurate colors.

Overall, the Canon PIXMA TR4520 is a decent entry-level all-in-one printer that offers basic functionality at an affordable price. It is ideal for home users who need a simple and reliable printer for occasional printing tasks. However, if you need a printer that can handle more demanding tasks, such as printing high volumes of documents or graphics-intensive materials, you may need to look for a more powerful printer.
